Authentic. Challenging. Legendary.

Two Brothers, One Vision, and the Roof of the World.

“We don’t just guide tours; we build the trails and the races that defined mountain biking in the Himalayas.” — Sonam Gurung & Chhimi Urkyen Gurung.

The Pioneers

Sonam Gurung

Sonam Gurung

Founded by the Gurung brothers, Dawn Till Dusk is built on a legacy of “firsts.” Sonam Gurung, the First Nepali Mountain Biker, set the standard in the 1990s by dominating the Annapurna Triathlon and earning Gold in the Six Summit Tour. His brother, Chhimi Urkyen Gurung, further solidified the family legacy in 1990 by taking his bicycle where few had ever dared: to Everest Base Camp and Kalapathar.

Their leadership extends far beyond the trail. Chhimi has served as the President of the Nepal Cycling Association and an executive member of the Nepal Olympic Committee, while Sonam has served as Vice President of the Cycling Association.

The Modern Architects

The Visionaries: Driving the Future of Himalayan Racing:

Together with Sunil Chandra Sharma and Shailesh Man Joshi, they have transformed their personal passion for the Himalayas into a world-class tour and racing enterprise that defines mountain biking in Nepal today.

Sunil Chandra Sharma

Sunil Chandra Sharma

Sunil Chandra Sharma is the strategic marketing force and visionary behind the global expansion of Dawn Till Dusk’s premier racing events. Since joining the company in 2011, he has been instrumental in bridging the gap between local pioneering expertise and the international mountain biking community. As a key planner of the Yak Ru races, Sunil helped establish the event as the world’s highest “blind” Enduro race, putting Nepal on the map for gravity-focused riders seeking ultimate high-altitude challenges.

Building on that success, he led the company’s 2020 pivot to organise the Pokhara Enduro Race, which attracted participants from 14 countries during its debut in 2023. His leadership continues to drive the race’s growth, ensuring that Dawn Till Dusk remains at the forefront of the Asian mountain biking scene by blending world-class event production with the authentic spirit of the Himalayas.

Shailesh Man Joshi

Shailesh Man Joshi

Shailesh Man Joshi is a cornerstone of the Nepalese competitive mountain biking scene, bringing a specialised focus on technical race planning and event logistics. As the Race Manager for the Pokhara Enduro, Shailesh has been the driving force behind the logistical planning and international-standard execution of the event. His expertise was pivotal in the 2023 maiden event, where he managed the intricate requirements of hosting athletes from 14 different countries, ensuring the race met global expectations for safety, timing, and event quality.
